Safe Journey
Here at Safe Journey we put ‘feeling safe’ at the heart of learning, in order to increase the wellbeing and personal development of children and young people emotionally, socially and academically. Safe Journey has a proven track record of achieving successful outcomes for hard to reach young people in England and Australia, as well as schools and referral units, helping the transition from schools in ‘special measures’ to becoming ‘good’ schools within Ofsted. We strive to ensure that each individual’s personal journey, is an inspired and Safe Journey. We also adopt the same approach when we train professionals in a variety of subjects. If people do not feel emotionally safe, then they are often reluctant to engage, and so all our work with children, young people, parents, carers and staff is underpinned using Protective Behaviours to ensure a safe learning environment.
Safe Journey works to the core principles of Protective Behaviours which is an approach and set of strategies to enable us all to feel emotionally and physically safe.Based on Future in Mind Report by Dr Martin Mcshane We’re extremely passionate about enabling Young People to use these strategies for feeling safe now and for their future, preventing physical and emotional suffering both short and long term.
Working with ‘hard to reach’ children and young people is a big challenge. However it is also an immense privilege. Through their input, thoughts and life experiences, we can grow as practitioners and keep producing high quality services for children, young people and the professionals that support them.
We can also design bespoke package’s if you wish.
